DuBois City Manager arrested on allegations of over $600,000 in fraudulent transactions

DUBOIS — After a Grand Jury investigation, DuBois City Manager Herm Suplizio was arrested today and arraigned for allegedly stealing hundred’s of thousands of dollars from public accounts.

Suplizio allegedly committed over $620,000 in fraudulent transactions using funds from city bank accounts and the DuBois Area United Way to pay his personal credit card bills, make political donations and gamble.

Suplizio is accused of using his position as city manager to enter into contracts with businesses for personal gain.  Suplizio is facing 15 charges including 6 felonies.

Charges were waived for court and a hearing is set for April 12th in Clearfield.  Suplizio was released on 100-thousand dollar unsecured bail.
