DuBois City Council concerned over disobeying detour and closure signs on Maple Avenue

DuBois – There is a concern with people not obeying detour and road closure signs as the waterline and road construction project continues on Maple Avenue in DuBois.

Councilwoman Shannon Gabriel shared that concern at the DuBois City Council meeting last night.

Other updates given at the meeting: The road construction on Arminta Street, Monroe and Hospital Avenue should be completed by mid-October.

The Construction on Maple Avenue should be finished by early November. Please continue to use caution in these areas.

The City of DuBois received bids from Bucktail Excavators for their winter materials the City of DuBois accepted their bids Anti Skid at $26.92 per ton, Sand Material at $18.46 per ton, Limestone 2A at $20.92 per ton, and AASHTO #8 at $26.92 per ton.
