DUBOIS – Technically, Herm Suplizio is still employed by the City of DuBois. At last night’s DuBois City Council meeting, it was clarified that last week’s motion was to begin the process of filing the necessary papers to have Suplizio’s employment terminated. However, the process has reportedly not yet started.
Suplizio was suspended from his role as city manager 10 months ago. He is accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from DuBois, and is currently facing federal charges.
Also at last night’s meeting, it was announced that new policies and procedures will be put into place regarding how it will be handled when city employees are indicted or charged with a crime.
