DuBois City Council addresses attorney fees

SHARE NOW

DUBOIS – DuBois City Council discussed anticipated legal fees for several current city employees who have been subpoenaed to the state’s grand jury.

At Monday night’s meeting, Council members voted to pay up to $10,000 in attorney fees per employee.

Councilman and Mayor-Elect Pat Reasinger noted that those subpoenaed to Harrisburg this month included not only current Council members but also City Fire Department volunteers and City Hall employees.

City Solicitor Toni Cherry noted that those subpoenaed need the benefit of legal counsel.

If an employee is found guilty during the proceedings, Council moved to hold that employee responsible for any and all legal fees incurred.
