DUBOIS – A DuBois school art club has taken the gold at a downtown scarecrow decorating contest.

Hosted by Downtown DuBois an unlucky 13 scarecrows littered West Long Avenue’s light poles, all decorated by the community.

This year’s best scarecrow voted by you was Bob Ross by the DuBois Area High School Art Club.

We spoke to one of the teachers, Cheyenne Kanouff, who said that in the end, this experience was great for the kids.

“The kids had all voted on Bob Ross,” explained Kanouff. “So we took a poll basically on who could bring what, and then started designing and decorating, and then a few kids, Mrs. Craig and I came down and set them all up and Bob Ross came to life.”
