DUBOIS – In an effort to promote school safety, the Dubois Area School District is partnering with local law enforcement.
Superintendent Wendy Benton tells us that you may see more officers with DuBois, Sandy Township, and State Police on school grounds during and after school hours.
She says that this is all part of their effort to create a proactive safety strategy, and to not be alarmed if you see a police presence at any of the schools.
Benton also believes this will foster a better relationship between students and law enforcement.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this new initiative, you are urged to call them directly at 814-371-2700.
