DuBois –
At Thursday’s night DuBois Area School Board meeting, Business Manager Jeanette Buriak presented the 2022-23 Final Budget.
This budget will run from July 1st, 2022 to June 30th, 2023.
There is no proposed increase on the tax rate, and there will be a focus on the progression of the DuBois Area School District’s Educational Objectives.
The overall revenue for the district is made up of local, state, and federal revenue sources.
The local revenue makes up 38% of revenue, which comes from real estate taxes, earned income taxes, real estate transfer taxes, and other.
The state revenue makes up 48% of revenue, which comes from the Basic Education Subsidy, Special Education Subsidy, Property Tax Relief Allocation, Transportation Subside, and Ready to Learn Block Grant.
The Federal revenue sources make up 14% of revenue.
The projected total revenue for next fiscal year is up 3% .
