DuBois Area High School holds Mock Crash

DuBois  Priority Media and Sunny 106 partnered with the DuBois Area High School to host a Mock Crash Thursday afternoon for local juniors and seniors as we near prom and high school graduation season. Local police and fire companies, EMS personnel, Life Flight, the P-L-C-B, and more were all a part of the event showcasing the dangers of drugs and alcohol and underage drinking.

The DuBois Area High School graciously hosted and helped to organize this event. Thank you to our Mock Accident volunteers: Leach McFadden, Andrew Shaffer-Doan, AC Deemer, Jenna Pfingstler, and Steve Fetterhoff.

First Responders: DuBois City Police, Sandy Township Police, DuSan Ambulance, DuBois and Sandy Township Fire Companies, and Life Flight all volunteered their time and expertise for the event.

Kim McDonald: State Farm Insurance Agent provided a DUI stimulator for students to experience the effects drugs and alcohol have while driving.

Clearfield Drug and Alcohol Commission had a vendor table with local info regarding drugs and alcohol and underage drinking.

The Auto Undertaker provided the vehicles used in the Mock Crash.

The Beauty Bar volunteered their time and special effect make-up for Mock accident volunteers. Thank you to Cori and Alyssa.

Jeff Tech students volunteered their time and expertise to film and photograph the event: Jaxton Freedline, Gabby Phillips, and Lauren Wingert with supervision from Steve Sensenbaugh.

The Clearfield County Coroner: Kim Snyder-Shaffer volunteered her time to participate in this event.

Baronick Funeral Home and Crematorium volunteered their time and a hearse to transport a “deceased” individual off scene.
