DuBois Area Diaper Drive Begins this Weekend

DUBOIS – A DuBois area charity will be accepting diaper donations over the next three weeks to help local families in need.

Magnificat Ministries is hosting their first ever annual Diaper Drive, gathering unopened diapers, baby wipes, and other baby needs.

We spoke with Magnificat Ministries founder Chris Tarcson who said that this endeavor is meant to help those in need.

“The Diaper Drive is an attempt to help with a stop-gap measure,“ explained Tarcson. “Catholic Charities have lost their funding at the end of last year in 2023, and so they don’t do the diaper program for the community anymore. And we saw a real need where people are struggling with everything, and we’re just going to help them how we can.”

Donations will be collected every Friday through Sunday starting on October 25th and ending on November 10th. Everything gathered will be sent back into the DuBois area community.

If you would like to donate or help out, locations can be found on their Facebook page or by calling the group directly at (814) 591-0598.
