DUBOIS – The DuBois City Council has unanimously approved to give $6,000 dollars to two local charities in dire needs.

Introduced by DuBois Mayor Pat Reasinger, this would give $3,000 dollars to the Salvation Army and $3,000 dollars to the DuBois Area Food Pantry, to offset recent funding shortfalls from state and federal sources.

“I was at the school and they have a wonderful program, they feed kids breakfast, they feed kids lunch, they have food that the kids can take home on the weekends, they have clothes that kids can get,“ explained Mayor Reasinger. “We’re doing all we can for the kids and the young families in our area.”
