HomeCrash/FireDriver that struck house in Houtzdale identified, facing hit-and-run chargesDriver that struck house in Houtzdale identified, facing hit-and-run chargesFri, January 8, 2021 by wcednewsSHARE NOW Houtzdale, PA – After a pickup truck struck a house in Clearfield County and then fled the scene, police were able to track down the driver.Just before midnight late Monday night, a concerned citizen driving a Walmart vehicle told police they witnessed a Chevy Silverado strike a house on Hannah Street in Houtzdale and then flee the scene.With the help from that concerned citizen and video footage from the nearby Houtzdale Car Wash, they found the vehicle belonged to 35-year-old Nathaniel Toner from Houtzdale.Police went to his residence and found that his pickup truck was there with obvious damage to it.Toner gave his vehicle information and complied without incident.The house that he had struck belongs to a 44-year-old Houtzdale woman.Hit and run charges are being filed.Click Here to read the online police report.
