DUBOIS – Major changes are coming to Doolittle Station, including renovations and a change in ownership.
Originally the brainchild of Dr. Jeffery Rice, the facility will, starting in October, see a change in regime. Current owners of the Angry Goat are partnering with Dr. Rice to make Doolittle Station a gem of the community.
A slew of aspects of the facility are being renovated. This includes newly refurbished Caboose Inns, a revamp of Doolittle Dinosaurs, the addition of more attractions like the Caring Caboose and Aegis Coffee, and the beautification of Jurassic Putt miniature golf.
The owner of the Angry Goat, Jon Cannella, believes that Doolittle Station is turning into a hidden gem for the community.
“It’s the best reward and it’s really truly why we do it,“ explained Cannella. “Seeing families enjoy what’s on campus it just makes you feel connected to the community, it makes you feel like you’re helping families enjoy life, have fun, smile, laugh, have a good time. When people choose to come here, it just really warms our hearts and makes the hard work worthwhile.”
The group would also like to expand their wedding services, including bridal and groom train cars, indoor and outdoor venues, and a quaint area for the entire wedding party to stay.
Most renovations are expected to be complete this fall, into the spring season.
