
Ridgway, PA – Two people are facing charges for moving and leaving a dog behind for three months without food, water, or shelter.
48-year-old Ian Benson and 42-year-old Amy Benson, both now from Johnsonburg, had moved away from a home on Water Street in Ridgway.
They left behind a dog for about three months, and police found the dog sleeping on a pile of garbage on Friday.
That dog had extremely protruding ribs, hip bones, and vertebrae bones. The couple faces charges for animal cruelty and animal neglect.
Police do not give any details about where the dog is now.
