Clearfield – A bridge replacement project in Clearfield County begins Wednesday, so get ready for a detour in Irvona.
PennDOT says the work will start tomorrow.
The bridge on St. Lawrence Road in Irvona crosses South Witmer Run.
A detour using Routes 53, 3012 and 3005 will go into effect Thursday.
The project is expected to be finished by October.
There will also be a detour next week in Elk County as road work continues near the Elk Visitors Center in Benezette.
According to PennDOT, Winslow Hill Road will be closed June 6th through 8th, and a detour will be in place on Route 555.
The five and-a-half mile project involves roadway widening and reconstruction, plus improvements along the sides of the road to accommodate foot traffic for the many visitors during elk viewing season.
