PUNXSUTAWNEY – Additional details have been given about last week’s domestic violence incident in which a Jefferson County couple was arrested.
According to court documents, 39-year-old Timothy States and 36-year-old Hayle Noble, both of Punxsutawney, were charged with harassment. An additional charge of strangulation was filed against States, and Noble was found to be wanted on an active arrest warrant in Jefferson County.
Police allege that States grabbed Noble by the throat and repeatedly pushed her against a wall, and that Noble punched States in the face several times. Police also report that States attempted to jump headfirst into a frozen pool twice.
States is free on $5,000 unsecured bail awaiting further court action. Noble was released after pleading guilty to the harassment charge.
