Details on some I-80 crashes Tuesday

Sandy Township, PA – We’re getting more details on some of the crashes that happened earlier this week on Interstate 80, shutting down portions of I-80 from early Tuesday morning until the afternoon.

In one case on I-80 near the 97.5 mile marker around 1 a.m. Tuesday, a 67-year-old Massachusetts man driving a Sprinter van lost traction and rolled over. He was taken to Penn Highlands DuBois with injuries of unknown severity.

In another case early Tuesday morning near the 106.8 mile marker, an unnamed person driving a Chevy Astrovan lost control, struck a median, and then hit several bushes. The vehicle had minor damage and was towed.

We expect that more police reports on similar crashes on Interstate 80 from earlier this week will be given soon.
