DUBOIS — A federal judge has granted the attorneys representing suspended DuBois City Manager Herm Suplizio an additional 30 days to file pretrial motions in the case against him.

According to U.S. District Court documents, the judge delayed the filing deadline from today, March 4th, to Wednesday, April 3rd.

A variety of charges have been filed against Suplizio and former DuBois city employee Bobbie Shaffer, related to the alleged theft of more than half-a-million dollars from the City of DuBois. Under federal sentencing guidelines, Suplizio and Shaffer could face up to 45 years in prison and as much as $1.2 million in fines if they are found guilty.
