CLEARFIELD – An inmate found dead Saturday in the Clearfield County Jail has been identified. Police report that 31-year-old Kaitlyn Evans of Morrisdale was one of two female inmates who overdosed on an unknown drug Thursday afternoon. She was revived following treatment with Narcan. Then, early Saturday morning Evans was found unresponsive and not breathing.
She was pronounced dead an hour later by the County Coroner.
Evans had been jailed since May, and she was awaiting a trial on felony drug charges after waiving her preliminary hearing rights last week.
