Curwensville man pronounced dead in two-vehicle collision in Pike Township

CURWENSVILLE – An 89-year-old Curwensville man was killed in a two-vehicle collision last week in Pike Township, Clearfield County.

State Police say Richard Hoover attempted to pull out onto Route 879, the Curwensville-Grampian Highway, and he drove his vehicle into the path of an oncoming truck.

Hoover was taken to Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries Friday afternoon.
