Clearfield – A Curwensville man is facing rape and assault charges following the results of a DNA test.

State Police say 53-year-old Douglas Albert allegedly raped a woman in March while she was asleep at a Curwensville apartment.

Albert has denied having any physical contact with the victim, but investigators say a laboratory analysis of the victim’s sexual assault kit has indicated a match with Albert’s DNA.

Four felony charges have been filed against Albert.

Following a preliminary hearing Wednesday, Albert was freed after posting $50,000 bail.
