COVIDTests.gov launches; four free tests per residential address

Washington DC – A new federal website launched by the Biden administration now allows Americans to request free at-home COVID-19 tests.

COVIDTests.gov launched yesterday as a beta test, one day earlier than expected.

You can order four at-home tests per residential address, that will then be delivered via USPS. They say you should expect the tests within 7-12 days after ordering.

White House officials say that tech experts are ready to address any bugs or issues that might crop up, one of which was already an issue with the system not immediately recognizing apartment building addresses as a multi-family building.

Private insurance companies are also now required to cover the cost of individuals who purchase at-home rapid tests at stores and online retailers. Americans with private insurance can be reimbursed for up to eight tests per month.
