Counterfeit $100 bills used in Ridgway

Ridgway, PA – The Ridgway/Johnsonburg Dollar General store received two counterfeit $100 bills, and now police are investigating where the fake money came from.

Around 8:30 on Wednesday, an unknown black male suspect came to the store and bought an ash tray, using a $100 bill to pay for the $3.70 item.

Shortly later, another unknown black male suspect came in and bought a gift card with a $100 bill.

Both men were wearing black hoodies and black masks.

They are thought to connected to the five other counterfeit cases in Kane Borough shortly later.
