CLEARFIELD – Charges of theft and deceptive business practices have been filed against a contractor who allegedly took more than $19,000 for a home improvement project in Clearfield that he never finished.
Clearfield Regional Police say 36-year-old Wilson Burns Jr of Felton struck an agreement with the victim in October 2022, but has failed to finish the work on the property. Burns is reportedly the owner of the company, Construction Kingdom.
He was arraigned on three felony charges last week, and was released on $50,000 unsecured bail.
The victim said he has repeatedly tried to contact Burns since their initial agreement, but claims that Burns disconnected his phone number.
