DUBOIS – We are just days away from the official Consolidation of DuBois and Sandy Township. We take a look at what still needs to be finished before the merger takes effect.
Co-Interim Managers Ben Kafferlin and Lisa Hagberg told us that the new city has two major priorities remaining. Formally transferring assets from DuBois and Sandy Township, and ensuring the finances are prepared.
“Our staff is working really hard on all of those items, to make sure that we’re ready for January 5th,” explained Hagberg.
Both Managers say once consolidation becomes official on January 5th, “the real work is going to begin”, shaping the new municipality’s identity.
