DUBOIS – The Consolidation of the City of DuBois and Sandy Township is less than a year away, as we approach that deadline we are having our Consolidation Countdown, giving you all of the information you need to know.
We spoke with DuBois Manager Lisa Hagberg who says that with loads of public parks, baseball fields, walking trails, a public swimming pool, amphitheater, and many outdoor spaces, that those can all be enhanced with consolidation.
“I’m hopeful that with that larger community we’ll just enjoy all of those spaces,“ explained Hagberg. “They probably are now, but I believe that there will be more ownership.”
Ultimately, Hagberg is looking at a maintenance plan to encompass our recreational activities.
