DUBOIS – The Consolidation of the City of DuBois and Sandy Township is less than a year away, as we approach that deadline we are having our Consolidation Countdown, giving you all of the information you need to know.
This month we spoke to City and Township Police Chief Kris Kruzelak on how the two municipalities have cooperated over the past few years making consolidation easier for both departments
Officers are currently learning each other’s areas, as they prepare to move into the newly refurbished city building, which is being remodeled with consolidation in mind.
“You’re going to have much better police coverage,“ explained Kruzelak. “We’ll have officers that are specializing in different aspects of law enforcement.”
Recently the departments have been receiving better technologies, like record management systems, and body/car cams to get both departments through consolidation.
