Community festivals, celebrations continue throughout Tri-County area


DUBOIS – If you enjoy community festivals and celebrations, this is a prime weekend for you in the tri-county area.

In DuBois, the 31st year of Community Days begins at 5pm today. There will be strolling entertainers, concerts, non-profit group food booths, and many other activities throughout the DuBois City Park all of tonight and through the day tomorrow, Saturday. This year’s DuBois Volunteer Fire Department Parade will start at 5pm on Saturday, and the fireworks show will blast off Saturday night at 10 with music provided by Sunny 106.

Brookville’s 2023 Laurel Festival is featuring sidewalk sales and manufacturing tours today, plus an evening rock and country concert with the group Thieves. On Saturday, the Laurel Festival’s Grand Parade steps off at 2pm, and there will be a fireworks finale in Brookville at 9:45.

The Riverfront Festival returns to Clearfield this weekend for the first time in a dozen years. The three-day festival in Lower Witmer Park starts today and will include food vendors, a craft fair, music, a cornhole tournament, and fireworks. Clearfield’s Riverfront Festival activities will continue through Sunday afternoon.
