BROCKWAY – A community based group is working at beautifying and unifying the Brockway Area.
Established in 2023, Discover Brockway is a community oriented group dedicated to making the Borough a desirable place to work, live, and visit.
We spoke to Jessica Clontz and Nancy Morrison with Discover Brockway, who say their group’s work is aimed at revitalizing the Brockway area.
“We want to be creating opportunities for the community to come together and do something that’s helpful to everyone here, whether that’s revitalization, clean up, or something fun like the Chalk Art Fest that just brings people together for something fun to do,“ explained Clontz. “And beautify, so we’ve been working on different projects that revitalize and create a more aesthetically pleasing atmosphere here.”
“Another one of our things that we really like to encapsulate on is collaboration,” stated Morrison. “We really want to highlight and collaborate on community organizations so that everyone works together as a whole collectively.”
The group’s next step, getting grants and other help to improve the Boroughs streetscape, the group will also be working to update Brockway’s décor as the seasons change.
