Clearfield – A 27-year-old man from the country of Colombia is in the Clearfield County Jail after he allegedly tried to meet a teenage girl to take to his hotel room.
According to Lawrence Township Police, Edwin Gomez-Lamadrid, is facing charges of criminal attempt-corruption of minors and criminal solicitation.
Reports say that Gomez- Lamadrid was waiting near the dumpsters behind the Clearfield McDonald’s Tuesday evening to meet a 15-year-old girl.
Instead, he was met by the Lawrence Township Police who placed him under arrest.
An investigation revealed that Gomez-Lamadrid was sending messages and inappropriate photos to individuals, believing he was sending them to a teen.
He had also made arrangements to take the girl to a nearby hotel room.
