Huston Township, PA – A Clearfield woman was flown to the hospital with serious injuries after a speeding crash in Clearfield County.
49-year-old Amy Chnupa had been driving on Mud Run Road in Huston Township around 7:30 Tuesday morning.
Police say she was going too fast on the unmarked road whenever she lost control and struck a tree head-on with her Ford Focus.
Chnupa had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Penfield Volunteer Fire Department.
She had been wearing a seat belt.
Chnupa was flown to UPMC Altoona with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
She is being charged with not driving her vehicle at a safe speed.
