
Clearfield, PA – Police in Clearfield Borough got reports of a woman who was breaking into a house through an open window. When they arrived at the scene, they found that the woman just locked her keys inside and was trying to get into her own house.
In this case, the report turned out to be a misunderstanding, but don’t let that keep you from reporting potential crimes.
Officers are also getting reports of various scams, including a call from a phony lending company. Here at the radio station, we also got calls from people telling their stories about scam calls they had recently received. These types of fraud can be very convincing and scam artists are constantly developing new ways to convince you to give up your money or personal information.
If you are the victim of a scam, don’t be embarrassed. Tell police about it immediately so they can other people avoid falling victim to it. And also be on your toes. If you get a call from a number you don’t recognize, especially if they are threatening you or promising you something that sounds too good to be true, it is likely a scam.

Police responded to a report of harassment East Locust Street that involved a male who was not permitted to be at the residence. Police are investigating the incident.
Officers received a report of theft of firewood on West Front Street.
Police received a report of fraud involving a phony lending company. Officers are investigating the incident.
Clearfield Borough Police responded to a report of an individual climbing through a window and trespassing into a residence. Police arrived and found the individual to have locked her keys inside the residence and gained entry through a window.
While on patrol, police observed a man and woman to be engaged in a verbal argument. When officers attempted to speak with the individuals, the woman fled from police. Police later located the pair at their residence. The woman was found to have warrants and was taken into custody. The man was found to be in possession of multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia and controlled substances.
Police responded to vehicle accident on Bridge Street. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were drivable from the scene.
Officers were notified of a “fender bender” on Nichols Street. Police assisted both parties in exchanging information.
Police conducted a vehicle stop on Bigler Avenue that resulted in the driver to be arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
Clearfield Borough Police received a report of a lost dog on South 4th Street. Later, a good Samaritan had located the dog and assisted with returning the animal to its owner.
