Clearfield Police: assault at E Market St business, canoeing man rescued from river

Clearfield, PA – Clearfield Borough Police rescued a man who became lost while canoeing and got stuck along the river near the Kerr Addition area of Clearfield. In a separate case, police also were called to an East Market Street business in Clearfield for an assault and found a woman laying on the sidewalk, who was then taken the hospital. Officers are continuing to investigate.

Police responded to a minor vehicle accident in the parking lot of a River Rd business. Police assisted both drivers with exchanging information.

Clearfield Borough Police were dispatched to an E Market St business for an assault. Police arrived and observed a female laying on the sidewalk. The female was transported to the hospital. Police are continuing to investigate.

Police responded to a gas leak on W Market St. Gas company and Fire Crews arrived on scene and were able to resolve the incident.

Officers received a report of harassment in which a person was afraid to leave their residence. Police are continuing to investigate.

Police conducted a vehicle stop. As a result, one of the occupants contained a warrant and multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia and controlled substances were located.

Clearfield Borough Police attempted to conduct a vehicle stop on a motorcycle on E 11th St. The motorcycle fled from police. Police disengaged from the pursuit for safety reasons. Police identifying the operator and continuing to investigate.

Police responded to disturbance on E Locust St involving a verbal altercation. Police arrived and located the parties involved. Nothing physical had occurred. Police cleared.

While on patrol, police located a wanted male in the area of Nichols St. The male was taken into custody and transported to the Clearfield County Jail.

Police assisted and EMS crews with gaining entrance to an apartment for a medical emergency.

Officers responded to a report of a person in a canoe becoming lost on the river near the area of JG Foods. Fire and EMS Crews also responded to the area. Responders located the canoe and person stuck along the river near the Kerr Addition area of the river. The male was assisted out of the water and did not require medical attention.
