Clearfield man sentenced for sexually assaulting a teen

CLEARFIELD – A 27-year-old Clearfield man has been sentenced to a five-to-10 year state prison term on sexual assault charges.

According to court documents, Kip Kolesar Jr. had been charged with 36 felony counts for repeatedly assaulting a 14-year-old girl in the summer and fall of 2021. Kolesar pleaded guilty to two of those counts during sentencing court this week.

Kolesar’s sentence also includes three years of probation, sex offender counseling, and an order to not have unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18.
