Clearfield man in custody after stabbing 76-year-old man

Clearfield, PA – A Clearfield man is in custody after police say he stabbed a 76-year-old man.

47-year-old Robert Jeffery Bailor is facing multiple felony charges, including attempted criminal homicide and aggravated assault, as well as misdemeanors for terroristic threats and simple assault.

It allegedly happened on Monday between 9:30 and 10 a.m. as the victim, an unnamed 76-year-old man, was exiting his vehicle at his residence on Claredon Avenue in Lawrence Township, just outside of Clearfied.

According to State Police in Clearfield, Bailor began stabbing the victim with an edged weapon, leaving the man with injuries on his stomach and neck.

Bailor was arrested around 3 p.m. yesterday.

There’s no word on the victim’s current condition or why Bailor attacked the man.
