CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man, accused of animal abuse is now facing additional felony animal cruelty charges.
In early 2024, 27 year-old Michael Wells was charged with misdemeanor animal neglect, after a wellness check on a Great Dane on October 17th 2023 where officials found the dog and two cats malnourished and covered in fleas.
Now Wells is at the Clearfield County Jail where he is now facing felony animal cruelty charges. Police also stated Wells is facing other drug charges.
