Clearfield, PA – A Clearfield man is accused of receiving $15,000 to help build a pool but never actually ordering the materials.

State Police in DuBois say that 42-year-old Jarrod Rees from Clearfield was paid $15,000 by the victim in May 2021 to get all the materials to build a pool at the victim’s home.

The 57-year-old victim from Reynoldsville asked for a refund, but Rees told him that he had already spent the money on the building materials.

However, police investigated and spoke with the company Rees claimed to have ordered the materials from, but they said they had not received any payment from him.

Charges are pending.
