Clearfield Elementary student tests positive for COVID-19

Clearfield, PA – A Clearfield Elementary School student has tested positive for COVID-19.

In a notification to the community, the Clearfield Area School District said that the student has not been in school since Oct. 1.

They are working with the Department of Health to do contact tracing and determine what other steps they will need to follow after this.

The DOH will be contacting any families directly if they are believed to be at risk for contracting the virus from the student.

Notification to School Community

We have been made aware by the PA Department of Health of a student who has tested positive for COVID 19 at the elementary school. The student has not been in school since Thursday, October 1st.

The family and the school are working with the DOH to gather information about any potential contacts and what steps they will need to follow at this point. If the DOH does identify anyone as a close contact they will be contacting those individuals directly.

As always it is important to monitor your well-being and those around you. Please continue to do your part to our help our community by being aware of the signs and symptoms of COVID 19.

School resumes tomorrow for Group A students.
