CLEARFIELD — A Clearfield couple is behind bars and facing child abuse charges.
According to Clearfield County Court documents, both 28-year-old Christina Swanson and 39-year-old Richard Hudak are accused of child endangerment and reckless endangerment.
Police launched an investigation into the couple’s actions when Swanson’s 3-year-old son was treated at Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital for chest pain, bruises and other injuries last month.
Police say investigators and medical professionals reportedly “came to the opinion” that the boy has been repeatedly abused.
Both Swanson and Hudak are currently being held in the Clearfield County Jail with bail set at $25,000 each.
