WOODLAND – Police are investigating a scam which cost a 71-year-old Clearfield County woman $10,000.
State Police say the Woodland woman was contacted by scammers who led her to believe that she had won a large amount of money, but that she needed to pay the taxes on her winnings first.
The victim reportedly paid $10,000 but did not receive a money prize.
