Girard Township, PA – A Clearfield County woman lit a porta-potty on fire recently, using items she took from a boat to keep the fire going.
Police were called out to Deer Creek Boat Launch in Girard Township on Oct. 23, and they found that 36-year-old Kennita Sones from Morrisdale had started a fire in the porta-potty. She was reportedly using miscellaneous items from a boat nearby to add to the fire.
She faces charges of criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, drug use and possession, public drunkenness, and other related charges. Her preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 3.
Earlier this year, Sones had been jailed for breaking into the Greater Shawville Parish, damaging items, and causing a mess there. In that case, Judge Ammerman agreed to sentence her to county prison instead of state prison since she needed drug rehabilitation and limited criminal history.
He warned, however, that she would be going to state prison if she got herself into any other trouble.
