KYLERTOWN – A Clearfield County woman who served as a church treasurer is facing 47 counts of theft for stealing over $14,000 from the church.
According to court documents and the State Police, 77-year-old Dorothy Lowe of Hawk Run is accused of gradually taking the money from the account of St. Laurence Episcopal Church in Osceola Mills over the past year.
More than $10,000 of the total was allegedly stolen by way of over 30 ATM withdrawals Lowe made between February and September 2022.
Lowe’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 1st in Clearfield.
