Clearfield County, PA – Clearfield County’s Centers for Active Living, also known as senior centers, will be closed again due to COVID-19. They had briefly been allowed to reopen, but they will close due to an increase in the rate of COVID-19 in our area.
Last week, the percent positivity rate was 15.3 percent and now it’s projected to be about 19 percent.
In order to keep older adults in our communities safe, the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging has decided to once again close the senior centers in Clearfield, Coalport, Mahaffey, and Kylertown. Houtzdale is still to be determined.
They had briefly been reopened since March 22.
Parkide Community Center, the senior center in DuBois, is separate and has remained closed for the past several months.
