CLEARFIELD – For the first time in 17 years, Clearfield County will be updating its comprehensive plan.
Updating the required document will be a year-long process, and it will be a joint effort with Elk County.
The comprehensive plan is the county’s road map for such issues as economic growth and housing infrastructure.
While the plan costs $130,000 to complete, PennDOT offers $80,000 of funding to each county to develop a comprehensive plan.
Clearfield County Planning Director Jodi Brennan said the comprehensive plan is supposed to be updated every 10 years, but it’s been much longer due to a lack of funding.
