CLEARFIELD – An annual tradition of donating food to Clearfield County’s Meals on Wheels program has continued for a local meat processor.

This year’s donation by the Country Butcher of Clearfield and Woodland includes 100 pounds of ground beef, 50 pounds of sausage, and 100 packs of spaghetti and sauce. The gift from Country Butcher owner Jason Gill will be used in the preparation of meals for Meals on Wheels. Up to 800 meals are provided daily across Clearfield County through through Meals on Wheels. In addition to the daily hot meals, each year Blizzard Boxes are packed and delivered to homebound recipients across the county.

The Country Butcher also participates in the Hunters Sharing the Harvest program, which has donated nearly two million pounds of wild game to those in need since 1991.
