SHARE NOW

CLEARFIELD – County jail time and a costly restitution bill is the sentence given to a Clearfield County man who struck a police car and a building with his vehicle.

According to court documents, 45-year-old Edward Anderson of Madera pleaded guilty this week to a felony charge of fleeing from police, and two counts of criminal mischief. State Police accused Anderson of leading them on a high-speed chase through Pike Township when he purposely collided head-on with the police car, and then smashed into a township building.

Anderson’s jail sentence is nine to 18 months, and he was ordered to pay restitution of nearly $17,000 for damaged property.
