CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield County man will serve up to one year in jail after pleading guilty to a charge of strangulation.
According to court documents, 39-year-old Jacob Montgomery of Curwensville allegedly assaulted a woman in November by shoving her against a wall, strangling her, pushing her down a staircase, and then dragging her out of a residence.
During sentencing, Judge Paul Cherry also ordered that Montgomery complete anger management counseling, and not have any contact with the victim.
