CLEARFIELD – A state prison sentence of 22 months to 10 years was given to a Clearfield County man who assaulted a Pennsylvania State Police trooper.

According to court documents, George Suhoney of Osceola Mills was accused of arguing with the trooper, punching him in the face, and then trying to grab his gun.

Suhoney also allegedly allowed his four large dogs to attack the trooper, who had gone to Suhoney’s home to investigate a reported theft.

It was noted in sentencing court this week that some of the trooper’s injuries requred plastic surgery, but he is doing well and is back to work.
