CLEARFIELD – A 41-year-old Clearfield County man was sentenced to serve up to one year in the county jail, followed by five years of probation.
According to court documents, George Irwin of Clearfield had been accused of kicking in a locked apartment door and assaulting a woman in September. On Friday, Irwin pleaded guilty to felony trespass as well as misdemeanor counts of harassment and DUI.
The victim claimed that Irwin had kicked in her door, came at her with his hands around her neck, threw her onto the couch, and picked up a child. Irwin contended that he and the victim were only arguing during the incident.
