CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield County man who pleaded guilty to felony counts of indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor, and possession of child pornography has been sentenced to nine and-a-half to 20 years in state prison.
According to court documents, 29-year-old Justin Sypin of Allport was also determined to be a sexually violent predator.
Sypin was originally charged last year with 25 felony counts for allegedly assaulting a 10-year-old girl multiple times and sending sexual messages and graphic photos to underage girls as young as seven.
Sypin’s sentence also includes sex offender counseling, an order to not have any unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18 and having to register his address with law enforcement authorities under Megan’s Law.
