Cooper Township, PA – A Clearfield County man allegedly fled from police into the woods during a traffic stop last weekend.
Troopers had pulled over 28-year-old Matthew Rockey from Winburne on Trolley Street in Cooper Township early Saturday morning, around 1:42 a.m.
Rockey refused to stop and drove from Trolley Street onto Valley Road, School House Road, and finally Hardscrabble Road, about 4 miles according to Google Maps.
He drove onto a trail and abandoned the vehicle, fleeing on foot. Troopers chased Rockey but he was unable to be located.
Rockey was taken into custody since this incident.
Charges of fleeing and eluding, as well as traffic summaries, will be filed.
